Your skin loves Oil

We believe in the simple approach to skin care, less is more.

“Your skin is a mirror for the internal body.” S Rose.

Less ingredients, less washing and more simple rituals to connect and repair your skin.

“Be good to your skin- it’s your connection with the world.” S Rose.

Not all oil products clog our pores, lock in bacteria or causes acne. Oil in fact heals through a process of antibacterial cleansing and repairs your skin cells. Oil is the key to hydrated skin, as your cells cannot absorb water without oil. Oil on your skin holds in moisture while healing and strengthening the cell membrane. Your skin is your largest organ and what your rub or put on your body makes its way into your bloodstream. Speaking of beauty inside out, in Europe it is a standard to drink & eat olive oil. If I feel like I need a rich source of moisturizer in addition to my skin care routine, I will take a shot of good olive oil. This adds a layer of hydration and becomes a good fat is the gut to help with nutrient absorption and insulin balance.

We recommend the following oils based on your skin type; dry skin craves oil that produces a warming feel, - sea buckthorn oil, calendula oil, sesame oil. Oily skin craves oil that relieves a sense of cooling - coconut oil. Combination skin almond oil, olive oil and grape-seed oil. Massaging oil into your skin is one of the simplest and oldest beauty rituals for our bodies. Our skin is the largest and most sensitive organ in the body and is very responsive to touch, heat and cold. We encourage you to take time to use oil and massage your body as an act of self-love.

I like to spend 5 minutes after I shower massaging my body with natural oil. I’ve noticed a big shift in my nervous system just through the simple action of massage. I used to quickly moisturize hit all the spots then carry on with getting ready… total lack of self awareness. Now I use those 5 minutes to connect, slow down and give back to my skin and mind.
