Live in Mindful Awareness

The true secret of health already exists inside you. Balance.

In order to achieve complete health you must have knowledge of all aspects of your life. We believe all of our systems are interconnected; the physical is combined with the mental, spiritual, emotional and metaphysical. We credit our practice, habits and discoveries to the ancient health system of Ayurveda, the worlds oldest health system dating back 5,000 years.

Ayurveda texts have shared this belief, “We believe health can be achieved only through a delicate balance among the mind, body and spirit. We are all a reflection of our environments and can transform our personal health only through awareness”. Sahara Rose

Our health lives in the digestive system and nervous system, in Sanskrit the word digestion is termed fire. The digestive fire is responsible for all transformation in the body (metabolism, nutrient absorption and elimination). Our bodies absorb more than food, the nervous system absorbs emotions, senses and experiences. Unresolved emotions can cause a mental and physical imbalance in your body. Living with mindful awareness takes practice, it requires simple steps to bring ones consciousness in every moment and experience. Meditation, movement, yoga, (self-care), habits & rituals, ingredients, all contribute to self-awareness. Learn to be present, mindful, conscious.

The act of mindfulness was something I had to learn and train myself to do on a daily basis. It took time and took practice but I had to in order to survive. In 2019, I was diagnosed with Epilepsy, a neurological disorder which causes me to lose consciousness and start seizing. After months and now years of I now have the tools and awareness to keep myself out of harm. The biggest fuel to my seizures was living without mindfulness, living in the future using interpretation and anxiety as a way to think or living in the past, guilt and shame. Neither does good for any body.

3 simple practices of mindful awareness

  • Full breaths; Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth (or nose, depends on your nervous system).

  • Take time to pause as you speak, as you move and as you eat. To sense how people, words, environment, food makes you feel.

  • Check in with yourself, throughout the day ask yourself how is this making me feel?
